Ubisoft delays key titles
While Creed wins bread.
Ubisoft has revealed that three of its key titles for 2008 will now arrive later than expected.
Those slipping into fiscal 2008 - which begins in April - are Far Cry 2, Tom Clancy's EndWar and Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway.
This will keep development costs down for the time being and help the publisher pump out some impressive financial results for the third quarter and whole of 2007, as it boosts sales predictions for Assassin's Creed from three to five million and churns out more casual content to fill shelves.
Full third-quarter financial results are due out on 23rd February, and are expected to have risen by around 20 per cent over last year. Interesting if you like and possibly dream about piles of money.
Assassin's Creed was released in November and caused a bit of a commotion with its critical reception, failing to produce the sort of marks many had expected.
Still, it took the number one spot in the charts over Christmas and continues to sell by the bucket load. Pop over to our Assassin's Creed review to find out why.
