MGS: The Snake Eater 3D out 2011
"Sample" becomes the real deal.
Hideo Kojima has obliterated concern that his 3DS Metal Gear Solid game was nothing more than a "sample" by confirming that it'll be released next year.
The Metal Gear creator revealed the launch plan at the Tokyo Game Show last night.
Metal Gear Solid: The Snake Eater 3D was announced at E3 2010 in June with a demo of the jungle level.
Concern arose after Kojima Productions Podcast spokesperson Sean Eyestone described the demo as a "sample".
In July Konami told Eurogamer that the game, which we've seen called Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D "The Naked Sample" (3DS) around the block, remains "a full product", and now Kojima's confirmed it.
Metal Gear Solid was on a long list of third-party developed 3DS games unveiled during Nintendo's E3 2010 press conference.
The game wasn't playable, but Konami showed off its impressive visuals with a number of impressive-looking screenshots, which you can see below.
