Tecmo Koei boss walks away

Says "personal reasons" are why.

Tecmo Koei has lost its top boss Kenji Matsubara because of "personal issues".

He walks away as the company reveals bigger losses this year (for the six months ending 30th September) than last - 30 per cent more, according to Andriasang.

The worst performer? Videogames.

That arm of the company lost $20 million. Tecmo Koei blamed it on the delay of Trinity Zill O'll Zero as well as hefty outlays for games further down the release schedule.

Tecmo Koei's overall operating income (money made minus expenses) was $14 million in the red.

Last Friday, Tecmo Koei launched Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage in Europe. It was nowhere to be seen on yesterday's UK all-format top 40 chart.
