Visceral looking at Dead Space movie
It wouldn't be a "cheap cash-in".
Visceral Games has held discussions about a live action Dead Space movie and would "love to do it" under the right circumstances, according to the game's art director.
"We would love to have a live action film and we've had a lot of discussion," Visceral's Ian Milham told the BBC.
The franchise has already racked up a number of animated spin-offs with 2008's Dead Space: Downfall and this year's Dead Space: Aftermath. However, if a full live action project was to get off the ground, it would have to be done properly, Milham added. So, Uwe Boll, you can put the phone down.
"One of the reasons Dead Space still exists and is popular is because we've made sure to do everything right," he explained.
"So we're doing the same with the film, not just a cheap cash-in but to do something really worthwhile, so we'll see."
