PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, the tongue-twisting brawler that stars some of Sony's highest profile mascots, has been confirmed for the PlayStation Vita - and it will allow cross-platform play with the PlayStation 3 version of the game.

The game is being created by independent developer SuperBot, and takes its cues from Nintendo's Smash Bros. series, pitting recognizable faces against each other in hectic four-player battles.

Characters such as Twisted Metal's Sweet-tooth, God of War's Kratos and Fat Princess's, er, Fat Princess all feature in the game, and Sony's slowly drip-feeding the rest of the roster in the run-up to the game's release.

SugarBot took the opportunity to confirm BioShock's Big Daddy and Uncharted's Nathan Drake as characters - here's hoping Ellen Page, the freshly revealed star of Quantic Dream's Beyond, makes the cut.
