Nintendo 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro confirmed
Excelling news.
The 3DS XL, Nintendo's upcoming super-sized version of the 3DS, will gets its own Circle Pad Pro attachment.
While the 3DS XL features larger screens and an overall larger form factor, Nintendo did not include a second circle pad on the device. And its caboose is so big that it won't be able to squeeze into the current Circle Pad Pro attachment.
Never fear. An XL-sized version of the Circle Pad Pro will be released later in the year, Famitsu reports (via Andriasang).
The 3DS XL will, however, be able to balance on that little 3DS stand that Nintendo shipped with Kid Icarus: Uprising.
Nintendo launched the Circle Pad Pro for the regular-sized 3DS in Europe earlier this year, alongside Resident Evil: Revelations. It allows for dual analogue support in a handful of games, such as Revelations, Uprising and Metal Gear Solid 3D.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy also support the device, as does Monster Hunter 3G (although to play the latter at all you'll have to source a copy from Japan).
