Hybrid pulled from XBLA while server errors are fixed
UPDATE: The servers are up again.
Update: It's fixed.
Fifth Cell community manager Emily Halprin issues the following statement on the official forums:
"We have worked with Microsoft to diagnose and resolve the server issue surrounding Hybrid. Our entire team appreciates the overwhelming response of fans logging in on day one and for bearing with us during this short downtime. We expect a smooth gameplay experience from here on out."
"It may take several hours for it to reappear on your Xbox dashboard again," she added.
Original Story:Jetpack-based cover shooter Hybrid was pulled from the Xbox Marketplace following a bevy of server issues ruining its launch day as part of Microsoft's Summer of Arcade lineup.
Given that it's an online multiplayer only affair this is a serious issue. While players were able to buy the game earlier for 1200 Microsoft Points, many found that the servers were generally unavailable.
"We are working with Microsoft to fix these server issues. Many people from both 5th Cell and MS are working together to sort the problem out," said developer Fifth Cell's creative director Jeremiah Slaczka on the official forums. "We are making progress, but it will take time unfortunately. Sorry for the inconvenience, however we don't foresee this problem to continue once it's fixed."
Fifth Cell community manager Emily Halprin added, "Please expect to be dropped from the server, if you get in, until we give official word that they are back up... The servers will be going up and down throughout the repair process."
