This just in: DmC's Dante battles demonic conservative anchorman in shocking new footage
Accused of "rapidly spreading sexual disease of the unholy kind."
New footage has emerged of Ninja Theory's upcoming Devil May Cry reboot, portraying Dante infiltrating a news station parodying "one particular American outlet that shall go unnamed" according to producer Alex Jones.
This particular chapter appears to shed the gothier aesthetic of yesteryear to portray an almost Psychonauts level of satirical surrealism as Dante journeys through a nightmare realm of red, white and blue propaganda, animated logos, and bloated hate-spewing talking heads.
There's a boss fight against an anchorman that I'm pretty sure is a parody of Bill O'Reilly, followed by live helicopter footage of Dante doing his hacking-and-slashing thing on a boardwalk. He's also accused of "rapidly spreading sexual disease of the unholy kind."
Check out this new footage at the 5:52 mark in the video below. For more information, we went hands-on with DmC at E3 where it was looking rather spiffy.
It looks like Dante's new 'do is hardly the biggest change this reboot brings to the series. What do you make of this more contemporary take?
