Sky Movies and Sky Sports on PS3 with Now TV app
That's how for now.
Sky's Now TV is available on PlayStation 3.
Now TV is the internet TV service from Sky that carries Sky Movies and Sky Sports without the need for a contract. It launched on Xbox last year.
There's a £9.99 Sky Sports Day pass, so you can watch sport on a pay-as-you-go basis. Sky Sports has the Ashes, the British & Irish Lions Tour, Formula One races, golf majors and 116 live Premier League matches for the coming season, as well as La Liga and some UEFA Champions League matches.
On the movies side, Now TV's pitch is that each month you can watch up to 20 new premieres at least 12 months before they're available on Netflix or Lovefilm Instant. You can sign up on a monthly basis (£15), and new customers can get a free 30 day trial and benefit from a three-month introductory offer of £8.99 a month. But remember, as with most trials, you'll start paying if you don't cancel your trial before it ends.
Sky said Now TV will add shows from Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Arts and Sky Living over the course of the year.
Sony Computer Entertainment UK boss Fergal Gara said: "Adding Sky's amazing content via NOW TV to the PlayStation 3's services is a real boon for our millions of UK customers. Streaming great and exclusive sports and movie content to the family TV is a huge enhancement to the PlayStation entertainment portfolio."
