Call of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition includes a wearable camera for £180
Multiplayer shown off for the first time.
Call of Duty: Ghosts' Prestige Edition will include a wearable 1080p water resistant tactical camera, Activision announced at today's COD: Ghosts multiplayer reveal event.
The Prestige Edition will also include everything in the less glamorous Hardened Edition, which includes such bonuses as the Season Pass, limited edition Collectible Steelbook, and Paracord Strap.
According to retailers GAME and GameStop, the Prestige Edition goes for a whopping £179.99 / $199.99 while the The Hardened Edition alone is going for £89.99 / $119.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3 and £94.99 /$119.99 on Xbox One and PS4.
The ala carte Season Pass goes for $49.99 / 4000 MSP and will include access to four DLC Map Packs (about $14.99 / 1200 MSP each otherwise), as well as the Ghosts Team Leader Pack, which will allow players to play as a character from the single-player campaign in multiplayer - a first for the series.
For a limited time the Season Pass will automatically upgrade to next-gen for free, so those playing on Xbox 360 can also receive the bonus content on Xbox One, and PS3 users can do the same on PS4.
Elsewhere, Activision revealed the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer for the first time today. This marks the first game in the series to let you customise your character's appearance. You can even play as a female soldier, finally.
This latest entrant to the franchise also introduces a new game type called Squads, in which up to six-person teams fight against one another in a variety of play-types. It supports drop-in/drop-out co-op, so you can replace the AI with friends and vice versa.
Activision also noted that when upgrading between consoles, one will be able to transfer their stats, unlocks and more through Xbox Live or PSN.
Plus, you'll be able to use your canine companion in battle, which is always nifty. "You get to Colin Reilly as a guard dog," said Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin.
Our man Wes is on the scene and will have a full report later, but for now, check out Call of Duty: Ghosts' multiplayer in action in the following reveal trailer. Below that, we've got Rubin detailing the multiplayer's latest additions and some footage of a match as well.
