Free-to-play FPS Warface coming to Xbox 360 in early 2014
War has changed... but not very much.
Crytek's free-to-play first-person shooter Warface will be coming to Xbox 360 in early 2014, the developer has announced.
Warface contains four classes and both competitive and co-op missions. It will be free-to-play for anyone with an Xbox Live gold account.
The PC version is currently in closed beta. You can sign up for that here.
While on the surface Warface is about as bland a military FPS as they come, it represents the Crysis developer's first foray into the free-to-play market via its social entertainment platform Gface. Our Oli Welsh spoke to Crytek CEO, president and founder Cevat Yerli in February about his hopes to merge social gaming with hardcore action games, as has become such a big phenomenon in the east.
