Scribblenauts Unlimited is finally making it to Europe in December
After being a Wii U launch title in North America.
Scribblenauts Unlimited, the third game in Fifth Cell's unique puzzle series, is finally making it to European shores this December on Wii U and 3DS, Nintendo has announced.
It was originally going to be a Wii U launch title, just as it was in North America last November. Then, at the last minute, it got pushed back to February for reasons unknown. Amazingly, this happened again, when it got delayed a second time and slowly fell off the radar, leading many to believe Warner Bros. would never bring it here - especially as it already announced a whole new entry in the series, Scribblenauts Unmasked, in that time.
But it looks like there was no cause for concern after all, though the reasons for the delay continue to elude us. I've reached out to Warner Bros. to try to figure out what the Sam Hill is going on with that.
I reviewed Scribblenauts Unlimited upon its US release, where I found it delightful at first, but my love affair with it quickly soured. "What begins as an unbridled experiment in omnipotence swiftly devolves into a lackadaisical chore," I said in my Scribblenauts Unlimited review, but added that "It's still rife with warmth, humour and creativity, and the Wii U's TV support transforms the solitary snickering of previous Scribblenauts into a party game that's especially well suited to the young or inebriated."
