DriveClub PS Plus Edition is the full game minus a few cars and tracks
You can earn the Platinum Trophy from the PS Plus Edition.
PlayStation 4 racing game DriveClub's PlayStation Plus Edition is the full game minus a few cars and tracks, developer Evolution Studios has said.
Design director Paul Rustchynsky took to NeoGAF to clarify a few things about the free version of the game that will be made available to PlayStation Plus subscribers on the launch of the PlayStation 4.
You can earn the Platinum Trophy from the PS Plus Edition, Rustchynsky said. When you upgrade from the PS Plus Edition you get the full edition, which doesn't require a PS Plus subscription.
"There will be a discount to upgrade to the full digital edition from the PS+ edition, but prices won't be announced for a few more weeks yet," he added.
Rustchynsky confirmed the PS Plus Edition of DriveClub will be available "well into the new year", so you won't have to rush to set up your PSN account.
Some other tidbits:
"We are working on a photo mode, but that's all I can say about it right now."
And: "No Split-Screen I'm afraid."
Driveclub is part of the PS4's launch lineup of games, and goes on sale as a Blu-ray disc and download alongside the console on 29th November in Europe.
