World of Warcraft expansion Warlords of Draenor confirmed
Old school.
The next World of Warcraft expansion is Warlords of Draenor, Blizzard has confirmed.
The title was leaked earlier this week from trademark listings.
Blizzard's Chris Metzen took to the stage at BlizzCon this evening to unveil a new video, below, for the latest expansion to the massively multiplayer online game.
In Warlords of Draenor players will travel to Draenor, the homeworld of the orcs, before it was shattered into what is now known as Outland. Yes, that means time travel.
The official blurb: "Across Draenor's savage jungles and battle-scarred plains, Azeroth's heroes will engage in a mythic conflict involving mystical draenei champions and mighty orc clans, and cross axes with the likes of Grommash Hellscream, Blackhand, and Ner'zhul at the height of their primal power.
"Players will need to scour this unwelcoming land in search of allies to help build a desperate defense against the old Horde's formidable engine of conquest-or else watch their own world's bloody, war-torn history repeat itself."
New features include garrisons (the ability to build your own base on Draenor, World of Warcraft's version of housing), new character models (new dwarf, orc and gnome models were shown off), an increased level cap to 100, and a new instant level to 90 ability.
