World of Warcraft movie postponed to March 2016
To avoid coming out the same day as Star Wars.
The World of Warcraft movie, simply titled "Warcraft", has received the new release date of 11th March, 2016, Variety reports.
Initially it was set for an 18th December, 2015 release, but the J.J. Abrams Star Wars flick is now coming out then, and who wants to go head to head with that?
Warcraft is being directed by Duncan "son of David Bowie" Jones, best known for directing Moon and Source Code. Screenwriter Charles Leavitt - whose credits include Blood Diamond, The Mighty, and K-PAX - is penning the film with Legendary producing.
Not many details are known about the film, but it will feature Anduin Lothar, the leader of the Alliance, and Durotan, the first Chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan. The plot will follow the war between orcs and humans and will focus on both sides of the conflict.
