Nutjitsu and Worms among first Xbox One ID@Xbox games
UPDATE: Worms Battlegrounds confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One.
UPDATE 10/02/2014: Team 17 has confirmed to Eurogamer its plan to self-publish Worms Battlegrounds on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
All we have at this stage is a logo. But Team 17 promised a makeover for next-gen consoles. Additionally, Worms Battlegrounds will be one of the first titles to be self-published on the Xbox One under the ID@Xbox program.
It's due out at some point in 2014.
ORIGINAL STORY: NinjaBee's Nutjitsu and a mystery Team17 Worms game will be among the first ID@Xbox titles released.
ID@Xbox is Microsoft's initiative to enable developers to self-publish on the Xbox One that was announced at Gamescom last year.
We haven't heard much about which games will be released as a part of the program, but in a tweet last night Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer responded to a follower question about the possibility of Kickstarter projects on Xbox One with detail on what we can expect.
"I think you will with @ID_Xbox," he said. "Played 2 of the first shipping games, a Worms game n Nutjitsu, right before DICE."
Nutjitsu is a free-to-play Windows 8 puzzle game from Ninja Bee, the studio behind A World of Keflings.
There's more to come from ID@Xbox. Other developers greenlit for self-publishing include Double Fine, Slightly Mad Studios and Vlambeer.
