Sony rejigs PlayStation Plus to offer two games per month for each platform
Announces Plus titles for June.
Sony has rejigged PlayStation Plus to offer two games per month for each platform as part of the Instant Game Collection.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony Computer Entertainment's PS Store and Plus content manager Chris Howe said Sony's goal is offer a "more balanced set of games" each month.
Sony will also adjust the length of time each title will be available. Starting in July, every title in the Instant Game Collection will be available from the first Wednesday of the month and will be free for that month until the first Wednesday of the following month.
Howe warned that several of the games that have been a part of the Instant Game Collection for a long time will be phased out.
SCEE's Fred Dutton elaborated on this in the comments: "Just to clarify, the annual 'evergreen' titles will not be replaced. Instead, you'll be getting one additional PS4 game every month. So, 2 x PS3, 2 x PS4 and 2 x Vita each month for the foreseeable future."
Meanwhile, Sony announced the PS Plus titles for June, which includes Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate on PS4, NBA 2K14 on PS3 and Dragon's Crown on Vita.
