Space Hulk: Deathwing in-game trailer shows off Unreal Engine 4 visuals
UPDATE: Confirmed for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Out 2015.
UPDATE: Space Hulk: Deathwing will launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015, the trailer below confirms.
The game may also feature VR headset support. It was mentioned that the game was demoed using the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset back in January, hint hint.
ORIGINAL STORY: There's a Space Hulk first-person shooter, called Deathwing. Didn't you know? Bertie wrote about it in May when publisher Focus Home Interactive released some screenshots.
Now, we have a video, "in-game", according to Focus, created using Unreal Engine 4.
We see a Librarian of the Deathwing, the game's main character, alongside a squad of Deathwing Terminators, going up against the Genestealers aboard a Space Hulk. It's dark, with plenty of lovely Storm Bolter and Assault Cannon action.
The game is developed by Streum On studio, the team behind E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, and co-produced by Cyanide Studio.
I don't expect the final game, due out on PC and consoles, to look this good, of course. After all, in-game can mean engine-driven cut-scenes. But there's promise here.
We've come a long way from Space Hulk Vengeance of the Blood Angels on Psone, haven't we (via @MisterEcoli)?
