UK chart: The Sims 4 finds a home in the top spot
A success to build upon.
The Sims 4 is the new UK all-formats chart number one, in the final week before Destiny arrives.
The latest entry in EA's mega-selling simulation series reached number one purely on the sales of its boxed PC copies - no digital downloads are included in Chart-Track data.
It's the first time a PC-exclusive has been top of the pops since the launch of Guild Wars 2, over two years ago.
Two other new titles also made it into the top 40. Firstly, the wonderfully named Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Dispair, a murder mystery adventure for PlayStation Vita, which arrived in 29th place.
The new PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate turned up in 34th place, meanwhile.
Watch Dogs rose to second this week, ahead of Metro Redux in third and The Last of Us: Remastered in fourth.
Diablo 3 was fifth, while COD: Ghosts, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Minecraft: PS3 Edition and GTA5 rounded out the top 10.
What will be top next week?
