Watch this Super Smash Bros. 3DS stream confirm playable characters

Early copies now out in the wild.

The 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. isn't due to release in Japan until Friday but copies of the game are already out in the wild.

Last month's character leak, all of which tallies with today's stream.

Twitch user Hayama is currently streaming the game and confirming a number of characters that have yet to be officially announced.

As previously revealed in an earlier character roster leak, new playable entrants include Bowser Jr, Dark Pit from Kid Icarus: Uprising and the Duck Hunt Dog from the classic NES game.

Returning favourites Ganondorf, Mr. Game and Watch, Wario, Ness, Jigglypuff, ROB and Falco are also included and unlocked by beating the game's Classic mode a number of times. Dr. Mario is also playable for the first time since the series' GameCube version.

But returning characters Squirtle and Wolf appear to be ruled out - trophies for each have already popped up randomly (trophies for playable characters are only unlocked after you've unlocked the character itself).

It also appears that Metal Gear Solid's Snake, a guest character in Wii entry Smash Bros. Brawl, is also not included. Eagle-eyed stream watchers have spotted a lack of copyright information for Konami in the game's credits alongside that for other guest characters.

European fans won't see the 3DS version of Smash Bros. until 3rd October, and the Wii U version until closer to Christmas. The game's character roster is due to be identical across each platform.
