Destiny patch makes a few missions easier
Fixes Vault of Glass raid bug.
Destiny's latest patch makes a number of missions easier.
Update 1.0.1.4 reduces the difficulty of three activities, and fixes a bug that was preventing players who completed the Vault of Glass raid from getting loot.
The patch notes on Bungie.net tone down the difficulty of the Shrine of Oryx, Sword of Crota and Exclusion Zone missions by removing majors from Heroic tiers.
Majors are elite enemies that are stronger than their standard counterparts. Heroic tiers is a reference to the difficulty level of the mission.
Meanwhile, Bungie has fixed the Vault of Glass bug that many players had complained about since the raid went live last week.
Some players who completed the raid were met with a black screen and, as a result, no loot. Given the time and effort required to finish the Vault of Glass activity, there was an understandable degree of upset.
Now, dropping the relic at the end of the raid will no longer result in a team wipe. This should prevent players being stuck at the black screen.
However, players will remain dead if they were dead when the mission ends. This will be addressed by a future patch, Bungie said.
There's no mention in the patch notes of Destiny's magic loot cave, which we reported on yesterday. Perhaps it'll be tackled next week.
Elsewhere, a new non-player character will this morning visit The Tower. The Queen's Emissary offers new bounties and missions as well as unique legendary and rare gear as a reward. The Emissary will stick around until 8th October.
