Camelot Unchained coming together in new alpha video
Character creation! Make-your-own abilities! Battles!
A brand new video of Camelot Unchained has been published, which shows the Kickstarted MMO more and more resembling a complete game.
There's a long way to go and this is footage from a recent tech alpha, but visible are faction select screens, character creation, build-your-own ability interfaces and - most importantly - stable battles featuring dozens of people.
Animations and effects are still a little basic, naturally, but the bread-and-butter essence of fights erupting around medieval-style keeps can be appreciated. Even more impressive are some of the results of the brick-by-brick building system - the player-designed keeps and castles. It's a bit Minecrafty.
Camelot Unchained was successfully Kickstarted nearly two years ago. Developer City State Entertainment has been building alongside the game, and after a slow start the ball appears to be rolling.
Camelot Unchained, itself inspired by Dark Age of Camelot - and the mind that brought that game to reality - has a loose release date of 2015. Testing will continue to ramp up throughout the year.
