Goat Simulator getting GoatZ survival DLC
"Garry and Dean, please don't sue us."
Goat Simulator developer Coffee Stain Studios has announced GoatZ, a new DayZ-inspired survival expansion.
The add-on is due to launch via Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux this Thursday, 7th May priced $4.99 (UK price TBA).
Separate apps are also coming on iOS and Android for the same price.
You can expect more of Goat Simulator's broken physics, buggy gameplay and general nonsense - perfect for a few hours of fun. There's a big new map, a crafting system and plenty more goats to unlock.
It will also contain a "completely realistic survival mode" where you have to "eat every damn five minutes to survive because [DayZ creator] Dean Hall & [Rust creator] Garry Newman said so".
GoatZ is the second add-on for the open-world caprine caper after the free World of Warcraft-inspired Goat MMO Simulator.
"Initially we were planning for the MMO expansion to be the final thing we did for Goat Simulator," designer Armin Ibrisagic explained. "We wanted to go out with a bang.
"But after it was launched we received an avalanche of people asking us to keep making DLC, and that they would even consider paying a couple bucks for future content. So, with that said, here you go. Zombies!
"It will be the only survival game on Steam that isn't in Early Access!"
Goat Simulator recently launched on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but there's no word yet on when either this or Goat MMO Simulator might launch on those platforms.
