EA Mobile executive Frank Gibeau departs after 23 years
Joined around the launch of the SNES.
Executive vice president of EA Mobile Frank Gibeau has departed EA after more than 23 years with the company.
In his two-plus decades at the publisher Gibeau held many position. Prior to moving to EA's mobile division in October 2013 (according to his LinkedIn profile), he was president of EA Labels where he controversially stated that he was "proud" of ensuring every EA game featured online interactivity.
"Throughout a more than 20-year career, Frank's made many significant contributions to the company, our people and our games," said EA CEO Andrew Wilson. "Most recently, he's worked to strengthen EA Mobile by building a great team. We'd like to thank Frank for his achievements at EA, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter."
Wilson noted that mobile games will continue to be a "core focus" at EA and that mobile Star Wars and The Minions titles are currently in development.
