Total War: Warhammer delayed to May
And, unsurprisingly, you need a beefy PC to run it on the highest settings.
Total War: Warhammer has been delayed by a month. It's now due out 24th May.
"This could be the best Total War game we've ever made. We don't want to rush it." explained Mike Simpson, Total War creative director.
The reason for the delay is a little unclear, although Simpson suggested the team is eager to ensure review copies are sent out well in advance of release.
"It's an enormous game," stated Simpson. "And we also want to make absolutely sure reviewers have enough time to play it thoroughly before launch."
That's very thoughtful of you, Mike.
Alongside the news that Total Warhammer (look, that's just what we're calling it) is delayed, comes a detailed breakdown of the minimum, recommended and '60FPS+' specs. It's particularly nice to see the latter. The Creative Assembly are keen to point out that these should be treated as "a guide rather than an absolute".
Now, this is a Total War game. You'd better brace yourselves.

So far, we've been very impressed with what we've seen of Total Warhammer. It's bringing together two franchises that seem absolutely bloody perfect for each other and if you'd like to read me saying that (but in many more words), you can check out our hands-on preview here.
