Severed is coming to Wii U, 3DS and iOS this summer
Supports Cross-Buy on Nintendo platforms.
Formerly Vita-exclusive first-person dungeon-crawling action game Severed is coming to Wii U, 3DS and iOS this summer.
Severed is the latest game by Drinkbox Studios, the Toronto-based studio behind Guacamelee! and Mutant Blobs Attack.
Severed puts players in the role of a one-armed woman searching for her family in the catacombs of a neon jungle. It's primarily about first-person touchscreen-based combat in which players swipe the screen to slash foes, parry their attacks, and (as the title implies) sever limbs.
The Wii U and 3DS versions of Severed will feature Cross-Buy support between both platforms.
Furthermore, the Wii U version will include an HD graphics upgrade along with Off-TV Play, while both Nintendo platforms will offers enhancements for the dual-screen setup. I'd imagine that would mean putting the map on another screen (on Vita it was overlaid in the top right corner).
I quite liked the Vita version of Severed upon its launch in late April. "Severed is an easy game to enjoy and admirable in its pluck, boldly battling against the current zeitgeist," I wrote in my Severed review.
