World of Warcraft: Legion had a level 110 in five-and-a-half hours

Was it you?

Happy World of Warcraft: Legion expansion launch day! The race to the new level cap of 110 is - oh, over already.

Twitch person Fragnance claims to have gotten his demon hunter Sicklikeme (server Twisting Nether) to level 110 in five hours 28 minutes, and he streamed the whole thing. Indeed he's still streaming now, more than 17 hours later - this time as his shadow priest climbs to level 110. I hope he's had a snack in that time. He must be famished.

Fragnance and partner Gingi spent weeks preparing for today in the WOW Legion beta. They knew the routes, the quests and their plan inside out. There are numerous archived videos on Fragnance's Twitch channel that show the beta preparation for the speed run. Apparently levelling in pairs is the way to go.

Some people, however, are off to a less speedy start - while others can't get going at all. Cue the rather amusing case of the druid who couldn't start his WOW Legion Artifiact quest because the quest giver, Archdruid Hamuul Runetotem of the Cenarion Circle, wouldn't talk to him!

He wouldn't talk to him because Druarr, the player druid, had terrible reputation with the Cenarion Circle from killing Moonglade guards years and years ago - back when he thought it didn't matter.

"I know this is karma for the hours spent murdering Moonglade Guards but this is literally barring me entry from WOW Legion. I'm pretty sad right now. :(" wrote Druarr on the World of Warcraft forum.

The good news for Druarr and anyone else in a similar situation - is that, a couple of hours ago, Blizzard fixed old grumpy Archdruid Hamuul Runetotem.

"This issue has been hotfixed," wrote WOW community manager Taepsilum. "Cenarion Circle has decided to make peace with everyone. You should now all be able to get the quest."

World of Warcraft: Legion brings a whole new continent of content to explore. It also introduces a new hero class, the demon hunter, and new Artifact super-weapons that have their own upgrade paths.

Oli is playing WOW Legion and hopes to have something to share in a couple of weeks, though that may not be a review. In the meantime let us know how you're getting on. What level are you? For starters.
