DJ Hero features Scratch Perverts, Yoda
Tracks from Dre's Detox a possibility.
Activision has announced British artists Scratch Perverts and DJ Yoda as contributors to the upcoming DJ Hero music game.
Scratch Perverts - the award-winning trio of Plus One, Prime Cuts and Tony Vegas - will provide five mixes, including Common's "Universal Mind Control" versus Masta Ace's "Jeep A** Gutter", Eric B & Rakim's "Eric B for President" versus MIA's "Paper Planes", and Noisia's "Groundhog" (Beat Juggle).
DJ Yoda, meanwhile, will add two mixes: the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back" versus Gang Starr's "Just to Get a Rep", and Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" versus Shlomo's "Beats".
Developer FreeStyleGames also hinted to IGN that tracks from Dr. Dre's new Detox album may show-up at some point.
Working quietly alongside these guest superstar contributors is a core team of 16 DJs/producers, which will provide the bulk of DJ Hero's mixes. Among that team are DMC winner Blakey and a top Radio1 DJ, who probably isn't Scott Mills and comedy cohort Mark "Chappers" Chapman.
DJ Hero offers a spread of tracks from the last 40 years spanning dance, electro, pop, rock, soul, R&B and funk genres. Post-release, more content is planned, and FreeStyle has some "very cool stuff new and old" to unleash.
DJ Hero arrives on 13th November for PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.
