WiiWare offers Zombie Panic today

Nintendo's Wii and DS shops have been refreshed today with plenty of new content.

Zombie Panic in Wonderland, the first of two WiiWare games, is developed by Akoni Studios. It costs 1000 Wii Points (£7/€10). Gameplay is point-and-shoot in a similar way to Duck Hunt, only with an avatar you can move left and right. There's an anime style, inappropriately dressed girls and cleavage. Learning with the PooYoos - Episode 2 - the other WiiWare offering - is for kids aged between three and six years old. Bright and colourful scenes aim to make your children more familiar with numbers, letters, shapes, colours and so on. PooYoos - Episode 2 costs 500 Wii Points (£3.50/€5) . On DSiWare there's Alpha Bounce by Mad Monkey Studio. This takes Breakout and infuses RPG mechanics like story and upgrades. The asking price is 500 DSi Points (£4.50/€5). There's a bit more about Alpha Bounce on the Nintendo website.

Alternatively, DSi owners can pick-up Faceez, an app that allows pictures of friends' faces to be tampered with. You can animate them and give them accessories and basically make them uglier because that's what friends are for. Nintendo's Faceez page has more information. Faceez costs 200 DSi Points (£1.80/€2)

Or there's an 800 DSi Point (£7.20/€8) gameshow game called The Price is Right. In it you have to guess how much things cost, with multiplayer being the obvious lure. The Nintendo Price is Right page can tell you more.

There's a bunch of old Game & Watch games available for DSi, too. These are Manhole, Vermin and Helmet and they cost 200 DSi Points each (£1.80/€2).

Finally, retro heads might consider Sunsoft's NES game Blaster Master for 500 Wii Points (£3.50/€5).
