Eurogamer was founded in September 1999 by Rupert and Nick Loman and has been covering video games ever since. The site began life with a PC focus and a keen interest in the competitive FPS scene of the time, but over the years it has grown to cover every aspect of gaming - PC, console, indie, board games and anything else that the team and the site's readers find interesting.

Who are we?

Tom Phillips

Editor-in-Chief

Tom is Eurogamer's Editor-in-Chief. He writes lots of news, some of the puns and makes sure we put the accent on Pokémon. Tom joined Eurogamer in 2010 following a stint running a Nintendo fansite, and still owns two GameCubes. He also still plays Pokémon Go every day.

Chris Tapsell

Deputy Editor

Chris Tapsell is Eurogamer's Deputy Editor and most decorated Football Manager. He used to write guides, and will send you links to his favourite spreadsheets if you ask him about League of Legends or competitive Pokémon.

Katharine Castle

Managing Editor

Katharine is Eurogamer's Managing Editor and primary spreadsheet keeper. She's spent most of the last ten years writing about PC games and PC hardware, but can now finally put her deep love of Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles and Final Fantasy to good use.

Lottie Lynn

Lottie Lynn is Eurogamer's Guides Editor. She likes exploring new games and still has nightmares about the moon from Majora's Mask.
