RedOctane owner Activision has refused to comment on supposedly leaked details of the next round of Guitar Hero II downloadable content for Xbox 360.

The first downloadable packs offered three songs apiece, all plucked from the original Guitar Hero - and, if our old friend Internet Reports is reliably informed, then so will the next three.

He's taking cues from HarmonixFans.com, where it's said that Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell", Joan Jett & The Blackhearts' "I Love Rock & Roll" and Audioslave's "Cochise" are in pack one.

Pack two reportedly consists of Blue Oyster Cult's "Godzilla", The Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated" and ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man", while pack three would be Black Sabbath's "Iron Man", Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" and Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water".

The site claims the information came its way through documents passed around Microsoft for certification. Unfortunately, when we caught up with an Activision spokesperson this morning to check the details and find out when we might expect new treats, we were given the old standard: "We do not comment on rumour and speculation".

To see what they do comment on, why not flick through last week's Guitar Hero III-focused interview with company president Kai Huang?
