Amazon Appstore opens for business
Worldwide roll-out reportedly underway.
The Amazon Appstore is opening for business across Europe and Australia following its US launch earlier this year, according to a PCR report.
Although it's yet to be officially confirmed by Amazon, a number of users have reported that its new Android shop is now taking orders.
Amazon's Appstore, which launched in the US back in March, differs from the Android Marketplace in that all software that appears on the service must first be approved, in doing so keeping malware and broken apps at bay.
Some developers have labelled its pricing set-up exploitative, as anyone appearing on the service must agree to take part in promotions in which their titles are occasionally given away for free.
