Ark: Survival of the Fittest PS4 on hold
So dev can focus on release of main Ark game for PS4.
Ark: Survival of the Fittest, the competitive multiplayer online survival arena spin-off of the main Ark game, will not come out on PlayStation 4 in July as previously announced.
In an update to a post on the PlayStation Blog, developer Studio Wildcard said it had put the PS4 version of Ark: Survival of the Fittest "on hold" to focus on bringing the main Ark game to PS4 first.
This should mean an "earlier release" of Ark: Survival Evolved on PS4, Studio Wildcard said, but we do not know when that is coming out.
Here's the statement:
"UPDATE: Hey ARK fans, Studio Wildcard is putting the PS4 version of ARK: Survival of the Fittest on hold in order to focus on preparing ARK: Survival Evolved for PS4 release. While this means ARK: Survival of the Fittest won't be releasing on PS4 in July 2016, we're working towards an earlier release of ARK: Survival Evolved."
Ark: Survival of the Fittest came out on Steam as a standalone game on 16th March, but it is the main Ark game, Survival Evolved, that blew up on PC in 2015 before heading to Xbox One in December.
