Arrested Development duo join COD Elite
I just blue myself up.
Sitcom stars Jason Bateman and Will Arnett have signed with Activision to provide original video programming for the mega-publisher's Call of Duty Elite service.
Arnett will visit September's Call of Duty XP fan event to provide a sneak preview of the content, Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
It's unclear whether the programming will be available to all Elite users, or just the even more elite paid-up members.
It's likely the programming will be some kind of comedic skit. Previous Elite trailers included humour and blood in equal measure, while Bateman and Arnett have a comedic track record as bickering on-screen brothers.
"I consider myself a gamer," commented Arnett, who plays Call of Duty online with members of Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward. "When you look at the time spent gaming, versus other entertainment outlets whether it's watching TV or watching movies; for me, I probably spend more time gaming."
COD convention Call of Duty XP takes place 2nd-3rd September. We'll find out more then. It allows hundreds of gamers to run around a life-size Call of Duty map shooting each other with paint. UK qualifiers take place in London this Sunday.
