3dfx announce UK pricing for Voodoo 4/5

According to a press release we have received from 3dfx, the under-powered entry level Voodoo 4 4500 will cost just shy of £150, while 3dfx's new flagship product, the Voodoo 5 5500, will cost £250. That makes it more expensive than some GeForce 2 GTS based cards in the UK!

Pricing for the rest of 3dfx's range has yet to be announced, but we are estimating that the Voodoo 5 5000 will cost around £200, while the Voodoo 5 6000 will cost a staggering £500! This is somewhat more expensive than we were expecting, and our Spring 2000 graphics card round-up article has been updated to reflect the new information.
