Celeron II vs Pentium III E

Following on from last week's article on overclocking the new Celeron II 566 processor, this week our resident tech head examines the Celeron II and the Pentium III E to work out just why the real world performance of the Celeron II was so disappointing in comparison.

Last week we saw that a Celeron II overclocked to 850Mhz was no faster than a Pentium III 600E in some situations. Could the massive difference in performance be down to nothing more than the size of the two processors' caches? Read our CPU core article to find out more!
