PC Releases
There's a positive bonanza of new PC game releases in the UK today, for those of you venturing out into the cold
Friday is release day for computer games in the UK, and this week has seen a bumper harvest of new titles appearing on shelves across the country. Terminal Reality's spooky action-adventure game "Blair Witch : The Rustin Parr Investigation" manifested itself in stores today, while Ubisoft's sub-aquatic action game "Deep Fighter" was also in evidence. Probably the biggest new release of the week though was Microsoft's urban racer "Midtown Madness 2", while Mattel surprised us all by releasing "Panzer General 3 : Scorched Earth" a week ahead of schedule. Now there's something you don't see very often...
Other releases this week included a pair of EA Sports titles - "Superbike 2001" and "Madden 2001" - as well as World War II flight sim "Pacific Warriors : Air Combat". Egosoft's Elite-inspired "X : Gold" also made it on to shelves this week after a number of delays. The game, published by THQ, features both the original rather disappointing "X : Beyond The Frontier" as well as the x-cellent add-on pack "X-Tension", which features a wide choice of new ships to buy, as well as a tweaked graphics engine, a host of sub-missions to carry out, and vastly improved gameplay.
