There's something fishy going on...

And only one fish has the balls to deal with it

In the days of the 16-bit console, when Sega's Mega Drive (Genesis) and the Super Nintendo were going head to head, a relatively unknown platformer was vying for attention. James Pond, starring a fishy secret agent on a mission to rid the world of evil, played … some sort of fiddle, but way back at the rear of the room, under a pile of coats belonging to Mario, Sonic and about a hundred other platform heroes.

Well, here's his second chance. Creature Labs and Swing Entertainment have decided to produce a GameBoy Advance remake of Pond's second game, James Pond: Codename Robocod, a game which is almost 10 years old at the time of writing. Whether Pond's return will be successful is anyone's guess, but if all goes well we should find out in late 2002, and there's already talk of a fishy relaunch of his console career in the immediate aftermath of Robocod's release.
