FFX-2 sells 1.2m in one day
And you can download the game's opening cinematic
Final Fantasy X-2, the first ever direct sequel to one of Square's FF titles, has sold an astonishing 1.2 million copies on its first day of availability. According to Square reps, nearly two million copies of the game were shipped to retailers and pre-orders and preliminary sales data accounts for over half.
FFX-2 is thought to be more of Yuna's story (or FF Charlie's Angels as some cynical hack described it), whereas FFX was about Tidus. The game introduces several new characters, including longer haired, darling Yuna look alike Lenne, and has emerged to critical acclaim. Famitsu gave it 34/40 (9, 9, 8, 8) according to The Magic Box.
You can see plenty of shots of the game and find out more here, and TMB even has a link to a 52MB rip of the game's opening movie, with Yuna performing Kumi Koda's "Real Emotion", the game's theme.
