The Hobbit trailer released

Before the Fellowship, there was only one. And he was a short, scruffy little git who wouldn't look out of place at a garden centre. The Hobbit! To celebrate his coming (not for a while, mind), Vivendi sent us this rather lovely trailer for the game (18MB), showcasing plenty of in-game footage - and looking pretty interesting too, despite our pessimism about Vivendi's Tolkien games in general (which they kind of asked for with the lacklustre FOTR). Take a look for yourselves, just make sure you have the latest Windows Media codecs before you do.
