Rally racer WRC3 release date confirmed
There will be mud.
Officially-liscensed rally racing tie-in WRC3 will be released on 12th October, publisher PQube has announced.
Versions for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and Xbox 360 are being tuned up for launch.
WRC3 is being developed by Italian team Milestone, the studio behind SBK Generations.
Last year's offering picked up a bland 6/10 in Eurogamer's WRC2 review, although Milestone promises plenty of changes have been but in place for this year.
"The game includes a totally renewed lighting effects system that guarantees higher in-game standards," WRC3 director Sébastien Pellicano explained in a press release passed to Eurogamer. "The new engine, in fact, allows us to model lighting, particle effects and other real-world characteristics to create an in-game virtual reality, offering complete immersion in the WRC universe."
50 official teams from WRC racing are featured in the game. There's also 35 unique car models - including the brand new Volkswagen Polo R WRC test car, Renault Twingo R2 and the Proton Satria Neo S2000.
