Gearbox is working on two new IPs for next-gen consoles
The Headhunter Pack DLC expansion set for October.
Borderlands developer Gearbox Software announced that it's working on two new IPs for "next-gen consoles" at a PAX Prime panel earlier today attended by Eurogamer.
We're pretty sure one of these is its transformation of its Brothers in Arms series, which the studio revealed last year would be reinvented as a new franchise. No idea what the other one could be.
One of these will grant early beta access to those who purchase Gearbox's Community Day 2013 pass, which allows users to watch the party on Twitch and be sad they're not there, as well as receive copies of Homeworld 1 & 2 HD upon their release sometime in the first half of 2014.
Ostensibly Gearbox's unannounced new properties won't be revealed for awhile as the Texas studio is still plugging away at Borderlands 2. In fact, it's releasing the level cap-raising DLC, Ultimate Vault Hunters Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge tomorrow. This will boost the level cap to 72 for those who also bought the first upgrade pack.
After that, Gearbox will release its Headhunter Pack expansion in October. It includes new missions and revives the original game's undead T.K. Baha.
