Rockstar files trademark for Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit
Back to school?
Rockstar Games has filed a trademark for "Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit".
The high school-based adventure originally launched for PlayStation 2 in 2006, and was released as Canis Canem Edit (Latin for dog eats dog) in Europe.
Set in and around the fictional Bullworth Academy, it was Rockstar's first and only title in the series to date.
Rockstar registered the new name with the EU trademark office on 20th November, JunkieMonkeys spotted (thanks, OXM).
It follows a similar application in the US, where Rockstar parent company Take-Two filed to update its existing Bully trademark on 25th July.
With Grand Theft Auto 5 now released, a next-gen sequel to Bully may be the company's next big project - and it makes sense that Rockstar would resurrect this title first before revisiting the more recent Red Dead Redemption.
Last month, a Rockstar employee CV was spotted which mentioned the "next version of a famous IP" was now in production.
