Platform exclusive MGS5: Ground Zeroes content to be made available to all
UPDATE: For free globally on 1st May.
UPDATE: The platform exclusive content for Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will be made available to all players for free on 1st May, Konami has announced.
That's for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
ORIGINAL STORY 25/04/2014: The platform exclusive content for Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will be made available to all players soon for free, Konami has announced.
The announcement was made on the Kojima Productions podcast today, and tweeted by Hideo Kojima's assistant Ayako.
The content, which includes the PlayStation-exclusive Deja Vu mission and the Xbox-only Raiden Jamais Vu mission, will be made available as DLC.
It's worth noting that the image tweeted by Ayako carries a 1st May date. The DLC may be made free on these shores at another date.
It's also worth pointing out that despite there only being mention of the Xbox 360 on the image, as well as the PS4 and PS3, the Deja Vu mission is expected to be made available to Xbox One owners for free, too - the Xbox One hasn't yet been released in Japan.
The PlayStation-exclusive Deja Vu Mission lets you play as Classic Snake, a lo-fi avatar of Solid Snake based on his appearance in the first MGS from 1998.
The Xbox exclusive Jamais Vu mission sees you play cyborg ninja Raiden (star of Metal Gear Solid 2 and the recent spin-off Metal Gear Rising Revengeance) and battle enemy body snatchers in a base.
Previously owners of each format's version of the game unlocked this content, called the Extra Op, by collecting all the XOF patches hidden around the Camp Omega open world.
