Warhammer 40K Dawn of War franchise free to play on Steam this weekend
Brand new map released. Dare we dream of Dawn of War 3?
Relic's wonderful Warhammer 40,000 real-time strategy series Dawn of War is free to play on Steam this weekend.
From now until 9pm on Sunday, 27th September, Dawn of War 1 and Dawn of War 2, plus all expansions, are free to play on Steam.
Meanwhile, both games and all expansions are 75 per cent off until 6pm on Monday, 28th September.
To coincide with the promotion, Relic has created and released a brand new multiplayer map for the 11-year-old Dawn of War 1. The map is called The Temple of Cyrene and is set on the homeworld of Gabriel Angelos.
For Dawn of War 2, Relic is giving away four free sets of Wargear to equip in the main campaign that were previously only available as pre-order DLC or as rare loot drops. The sets are The Vanguard, Sniper, Sternguard, and Destroyer.
News of Dawn of War rekindles hope of a third entry of the series. How's that going, Relic?
