Gaming industry pays tribute to comics legend Stan Lee
A legacy to Marvel.
The video games industry is paying tribute to comic book legend Stan Lee, who died yesterday, aged 95.
Alongside Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, Stan Lee helped create some of Marvel's most popular heroes, including the X-Men, Hulk, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil and Doctor Strange.
A younger generation of fans will know him simply as the figurehead of Marvel Comics - and famously for his cameo in every Marvel film.
Stan Lee recently appeared in Marvel's Spider-man, the excellent Insomniac-made game launched in September, and lent his voice to a dozen other games, including the Lego Marvel series.
But as an icon of popular culture, it is hard to overstate the impact of Stan Lee's work on the world of video games in general - something stated by many in gaming industry as they paid tribute to Stan Lee last night. Here is just a small selection:
