Stardew Valley's massive 1.4 update is out today on consoles
Managed to turnip in time for Christmas.
Developer ConcernedApe's hugely popular farming and village life sim Stardew Valley is depositing a bountiful harvest upon Switch, Xbox One, and PS4 players today, courtesy of the game's sizeable 1.4 update.
Update 1.4, you might recall, initially arrived on PC at the tail-end of last month, bringing with it a vast selection of enhancements and new features.
1.4's patch notes are extensive (and packed with spoilers, so proceed with caution), but some of the highlights include fish breeding, clothes tailoring and dyeing, new mine content, plus a wealth of new clothing options, hairstyles, buildings, and decorations. Oh, and Trash Bear, who'll apparently nip around town to clean up your mess after Year 3.
You can also expect significant enhancements to multiplayer, including the new Four Corners map and the option for players to each have their own money pools, plus an enormous number of balance changes, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements.
Following its release on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch, Stardew Valley's 1.4 update will "most likely" be making its way to iOS and Android in January.
