Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Soma's traitor: Who is the traitor in the The Stench of Treachery mission explained
How to choose the correct traitor - and what happens depending on your choices.
The Stench of Treachery is a mission in the Grantebridgescire region of Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Part of The Song of Soma questline, a key part of the mission has you decide who Soma's traitor is within her inner circle.
Deciding who is the traitor out of Birna, Lif and Galinn is possible by undertaking some additional quests - but if you want to skip ahead, or simply want to be sure - this page explains who is the traitor in The Stench of Treachery.

How The Stench of Treachery mission and deciding Soma's Traitor works in Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Soma asks you to find the traitor in her inner circle in Chapter 4 of The Song of Soma, mission The Stench of Treachery.
After reclaiming Grantebridgescire from Wigmund and the Saxons, Soma talks to you in private. She shares her suspicion that she was betrayed by someone within her inner circle: Birna, Lif, or Galinn.
She tasks you with completing three quests (Unholy Father, Storming Ravensburg, and Razing Earnningstone), one with each of character.
Once you complete those quests, Soma asks you what you have learned and ultimately who you think the traitor is.
Who is Soma's traitor in Assassin's Creed Valhalla?
Eivor must choose between the following story choices:
- The traitor is Birna.
- The traitor is Lif.
- The traitor is Galinn.
This has you choose the correct traitor. The traitor here is Galinn.

How does the Soma's traitor choice affect Assassin's Creed Valhalla?
If you choose Soma's traitor incorrectly, it'll affect Soma's standing with you, and Birna will not join your clan.
Galinn will also later admit his guilt and try to murder either Birna or Lif.
If you choose Galinn, Birna will eventually join your clan and you will be able to take her on raids.
