Best Xbox expansion card deals
While the PS5's internal memory can be upgraded using a compatible SSD with a heatsink, the only way to upgrade the internal memory of the Series X/S is with the official memory expansion cards from Seagate or WD_Black. They're pretty expensive, but now that Seagate has competition they regularly go on sale and are worth the investment so you can keep more games installed at any time.

You can also get an external drive to increase your game storage on your Xbox for less than the official expansion cards are asking. These drives are cheaper have larger capacities, although you can't play Xbox Series games directly off them, so you'll have to transfer the files to and from the internal storage when you want to play them. These cheaper drives are great for keeping your old Xbox one games ready-to-play, and are useful for cold storing newer games.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Xbox Series X and S?
The Xbox Series X is the top-end Xbox console. It has a disc drive for physical games, while the Series S is digital-only. The Series X is more powerful than the Series S, with 12 teraflops of processing power and the ability to play games in 4K resolution. The Series S can play games at 120fps like the Series X, but only at 1440p resolution. The Series X also comes with a 1TB SSD as standard, but you'll have to get the newer 1TB version of the Series S if you want to match that instead of the 512GB SSD that's in the original console.
What is the best Xbox to get right now?
If you want to play all the latest and future titles in 4K with the best performance, the Series X is the way to go. Also, if you want to physically own the games you'll need the Series X. If you're looking for more casual gaming, don't have as big a library of titles to download, plan on mainly streaming games over Game Pass, or just want to save a bit of space, then the Series S is a good choice - and much cheaper!
