How to increase Star Rank in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
To increase your Star Rank in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you need to collect Pokémon Research Points by completing both Research Tasks and Pokédex entries.
At the end of every survey, you'll be able to see how many Pokémon Research Points you've earned during the Pokédex Progress Report section. These points are then tallied, so you know how close you are to the next Star Rank.
Once you've gathered enough points to reach a new Star Rank, visit Captain Cyllene in the Galaxy Hall for an assessment.
Reaching a new Star Rank will grant you a selection of rewards, including new items, crafting recipes, areas, increase the amount you earn from survey reports and ensure Pokémon at certain levels obey you in battle.
You will, at times, have to raise your Star Rank during the game's main campaign - which you can learn more about in our Pokémon Legends: Arceus walkthrough - so make sure you keep an eye on how many Pokémon Research Points you've collected.
This, thankfully, is easy to do since the front of your Pokédex records your current Star Rank, how many Pokémon Research Points are required for the next rank and the total number of points you've earned so far.
Our Pokémon Legends Arceus walkthrough will help you pick a starter Pokémon and win the Kleavor boss fight. You’re also tasked with filling the Hisui Pokédex by obtaining new evolutions like Kleavor by evolving Scyther, Wyrdeer by evolving Stantler, Sneasler by evolving Hisui Sneasel and Overquil by evolving Hisui Qwilfish. There’s a host of new evolution methods, including ones for the Eevee evolutions. Take the time to complete Requests too, such as The Sea’s Legend, Wurmple’s Evolved! and finding the Wisp locations. Don’t forget to track down every Unown location too.
